Trains and Boats and …
…well the planes will be next week when we fly to Belfast.
We were up early this morning waiting for the boatyard guys to open the big gate to let us out and they arrived early especially as they knew I had a train to catch today.
The collage shows the stepladder we had to use to get on the boat, a workers cuppa, me standing at the mooring and a view from the train window.
Fiddlestick’s black bottom looked resplendent in the morning sunshine!
I was careful not to bump her when mooring at the bridges. She will get bumped and scratched but not today!
I cleaned as much as I could inside while Frank steered to the mooring.
The bed was stripped, the floors vacuumed, the bathroom and kitchen cleaned.
Then it was off home and I sorted my rucksack out for my weekend at Sabrina’s. (Lucy will be 6 tomorrow)
We had sausage butties for lunch then I helped Frank put Bella in the shower. She was filthy after being in the dry dock and I think she was grateful to be washed especially as she knew she would get a Whimzee treat for being good!
Then Frank took me to the train. Today I am going a different route. Hellifield to Lancaster then from there to Glasgow where I will catch a train to Airdrie. I should arrive there at 18.10.
Frank has band practice today and tomorrow for Hellifield Christmas show so he will drive up tomorrow afternoon and we’ll drive back home together on Sunday.
It’s all go!
Now I’m going to enjoy the rest of the journey reading my book.
Thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts over the last few days.
