The Fishermen of Aguda

It seems a bit of a miracle that there's still a real fishing community here where life still revolves around the fishermen who go out early in the morning in their small boats (2 or 3 people max) bring in their catch to sell at a small fish market direct to local restaurants etc or to the fish shop right next to the harbour (see extra). They then spend the rest of the day fixing nets etc then chatting next to the market. It's an old way of life but seems to be the sustainable, community led future that we'd all be much better off living. Everyone seems happier here and I'm sure it's not just the sunshine! It would take huge political and culture changes for Scotland to change to this type of living but it would be good to make an effort.
