Trains and boats and planes
A quick trip to the library this morning and then down to the ferry terminal to meet Daughter One, coming over from Mull with a couple of hours to spare in Oban before catching the train.
A familiar red biplane was circling overhead – I found out later that it was part of a Remembrance Day event at Ganavan, recalling the flying boats that were based there in WW2. Too high up to get a really good picture, so I’ve opted for another ferry Blip and put the aircraft on as an extra. Strange that the bonfire smoke is blowing strongly out to sea while the air sock is not moving.
‘Isle of Arran’ is tied up at the terminal, presumably not in service, and ‘Clansman’ is operating the Mull service as ‘Isle of Mull' is away in dock. ‘Clansman’ is also operating the Tiree service, bring taken away from the Mull service on alternative sailings, causing even more havoc, it seems.
Confused? Me too!
