The Island

This wooded island is situated at the bottom end of the top reservoir at Orrell Water Park, and is home to loads of wildlife, as it's inaccessible by foot. A Kingfisher perches on the lower tree branches, as the water is very still in this area and packed with fish for feeding. We saw it flash along the edges but didn't get an image. I'm going to have to wait patiently with a big zoom lens in future!
The Autumn reflections in the low bright sunlight today were spectacular!
