WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Amelia

A back blip from Lucy’s party. For the first time I noticed Amelia didn’t really take part in the party shenanigans of the 6 year olds. Instead she spent the 2 hours playing and ‘looking after’ wee 2 year old Michael. She loves babies and toddlers and already her caring, maternal side is showing through.
She reminds me of me at that age.
Back when I was her age in the 60’s I used to knock on neighbour’s doors and ask if I could take their babies for walks. They actually let me - a 10 year old - push their prams, containing a precious bundle up and down the street and round the block. Nobody in their right minds would do that these days!

I helped Sabrina today, sorting out toys and kids clothes for the charity shops. Lucy is a little hoarder but I got her to part with quite a bit. We then filled up the boot and dropped the donations off at two charity shops then drove on to IKEA to get shelves for Lucy’s room and a bookshelf for their hallway. I bought a few things but nothing special.
The girls were at home with Daddy and Granddad.

These two are full on most of the time and now we’re exhausted but happy.
Goodnight Blippers :-)x
