Dear friends

My mother's friend lived with them for many years after her husband passed away and even went to FL for the winters with them. Sha passed away years ago now but her family has always kept on touch. Today they drove from DE and VA for a visit. The weather was just perfect and we had such a nice time. It makes me feel good that people would take time away from their busy lives to visit a 93 year old woman. She cooked a big meal for them just like the old days. Crab casserole (she caught,  cooked and picked the crabs) fried chicken (ordered in) stuffed ham (ordered in) pan fried oysters, cooked cabbage, baked potatoes, Harvard beets, sliced tomatoes and rolls with home made jelly. She baked a pound cake for dessert served with ice cream. Her guests brought an apple pie, flowers, box of Belgium chocolates and a beautiful Christmas arrangement. I do not think she could have been more pleased with the way the day went. A visit to the elderly means more than you may think.
So thankful for all your stars and hearts and visits to my journal. Be safe the dragon has not been slain yet my friends.
