Down by the river

We have had quite a productive day, managed to sort the garage and unload the last of the boxes that we really need...... Then we went fishing.
Mostly the weather was really nice, when we reeled in the first fish (an undersize snapper) this Pied Shag appeared, as soon as it was off the line it swooped and for the next 3 fish this little fella had a free feed.
It was quite a character and seemed to know who was going to catch the next fish and stood beside them.
We caught 8 fish, all but one was undersize and they all made it back to the Weiti River apart from the 3 that were eaten.
We are really looking forward to such times as we have sold up in Christchurch so that we can move on buy a house and a boat, but for the moment we shall just have to fish off the bank and live in our rental.
