Monday: The Aftermath

This may just look like all the leaves have come down but it’s the aftermath of unbelievable rain and wind over the last 24 hours or so.  We haven’t fared too badly here but there have been mudslides on all main roads in the lower mainland which means that, in driving terms, Vancouver is now cut off from the rest of Canada.

The town of Merritt has been evacuated and generally there has been a lot of chaos on the roads, you can get a sense of it here.  What with this, and the heat bubble earlier in the year, we’re definitely in the midst of some extreme climate change……
