Sunday: Oh, The Irony

We had a splendid night’s sleep but were somewhat aware during the night of how windy it was (this is relevant, you’ll see why).

We had an excellent dim sum brunch at ‘Don Mee’, after which we took a good stroll around Victoria.  It’s a fabulous little town, very compact but with lots of character.

So, here’s the irony - we’d postponed our trip a few weeks ago because the weather was really dodgy for the seaplanes and we weren’t sure we could get back.  So, every flight today was cancelled, on account of the wind and low visibility, which meant that, instead of a direct flight over, we had to undertake bus ride (50 mins), ferry ride (delayed but 1h 35min when it eventually happened), bus (50 min), train and bus…….we figured out that, if you take sleep out of the equation, we were as long travelling home as we were in Victoria.  Never mind, it was an adventure and a new experience for us……
