In attendance
A busy day escorting my Mother to her various engagements made me feel like her lady in waiting, as well as chauffeur and cook! Still, we did manage to get her hair cut, while I did a raid on Waitrose, get important legal documents (LPA)signed and witnessed, attended a hospital appointment and, finally, attended a meeting of her local horticultural society. The speaker was very knowledgeable, having had experience as a journalist and in the plant industry, and now in independent Buckingham Garden Centre, and spoke very eloquently on the A -Z of foolproof gardening, for nearly one and a half hours. Then we were able to buy the plants he had brought to illustrate his talk- my Mum was first in the queue, for a Helenium. I think I know who will be planting it today or tomorrow! Meanwhile, here is a picture I managed to snatch today of a planter we planted up a couple of months ago.
