Home sweet home

I've just returned to Melbourne after seven months away, and having been introduced to Blip by friends I decided it would be the perfect way to reconnect with my city. Melbourne is a brilliant place to live, but in my excitement about studying in the UK I somehow managed to forget that. I'm determined to document all the quirks and oddities of living in this crazy city, and hopefully improve my photography along the way.

I had an idea all planned for my first blip - a picture of my house, as it's my first day back home. However, I took this one of my dad on a whim while he was watching TV (he seemed completely oblivious despite the fact that I was sitting inches away from him using an obnoxiously noisy camera) and I much prefer it. I think it really captures him - he looks very normal and Dad-like, which is something I've missed while I've been away! Here's hoping he doesn't mind being the first subject of this journal...
