Aston Rowant

Interrupted the return leg of my regular (-ish) M40 / M25 outing to stop at the Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve.   I've driven along this (see extra) bit of the M40 hundreds of times, but only stopped off at Aston Rowant a handful of times. 

The site was involved when red kites were re-introduced to this part of England in the late 1980s - and now there are hundreds of kites around the Chilterns, there were at least a dozen over the reserve this afternoon.
