Slater Creek

I had to drive one of the other hunters truck to the gas station today to get gas for the ATVs. At the station, a nice man offered to put the five gallon gas container in the truck for me. So kind!

This is the view of Slater Creek at the first bridge crossing after turning off the main highway. I stopped the truck to get out and take photos. As I was standing by the edge of the creek to take this photo another truck stopped. It was a very elderly man who said he was just checking to make sure I had not had car trouble. We chatted a few minutes. Another act of kindness.

Always believe in the goodness of people.

If you are wondering about the truck problem, there are now two new batteries. One is for all the fancy electronic stuff and the other is to crank the truck. It is running like a charm!




No luck on the elk hunt. Just two more days.
