Dinner With Jesse

Today was one of those challenging days until later on when we were able to enjoy a great evening with Jesse.  We are experiencing the worst situation for employment in the 15 years we have been open with employees being much more demanding and entitled than ever before - I am not really sure why there seem to be less people available to work since Covid - especially as what is being reported is many businesses in the food service sector have had to close down.  I've been thinking through what we can do to make working at BG more attractive - this comes on top of a lot of increased costs across the board.  I predict we are going to see a jolt to inflation if this continues - but it is very puzzling that somehow since the easing of Covid restrictions there seem to be far less people availble to work.

Anyway, the evening was really enjoyable with Jesse who began working at BG in our first year 15 years ago at the age of 16 and was with us for 6 years before meeting her now husband who was a customer from Switzerland and has now lived in Switzerland and currently Paris.  It was great to catch up and also prepare a vegetarian meal for her.
