INCA TERN

This is an Inca Tern (Larosterna inca)...the only living member of the Genus Larosterna. It is found in Peru and Chile typically being restricted to the Humboldt Current.

It's Conservation Status is Near Endangered.  It's a plunge diver and declining fish stocks are primary in its Near Endangered listing.

This one lives at the zoo in Milwaukee where its food supply is not in danger.
