Who Ya Gonna Call - G̶h̶o̶s̶t̶b̶u̶s̶t̶e̶r̶blippers

You may remember a few days ago I mentioned the Ukulele I had in my cupboard. We've had a few tries at tuning it without success so I contacted blipper thebear knowing that her husband, blipper thechimp played ukulele and they invited me down today so he could have a look at it. I didn't want to hand over an instrument to Isobel which could not hold its tuning or was in other ways 'not right'. Happily in his expert hands it was soon coaxed into shape and I have heard a tune played on it, so it clearly 'works'. With the seal of approval then it is safe to hand on. It's one of the joys of blipland knowing somebody who can advise, sort or otherwise help out. Well worth a trip to Peebles so thank you both.....I had my first mince pie of the season too, a good start!
Talking of blippers, I dropped into Pentland Aromatics and Blipper NadinePierce on the way to Peebles and picked up a diffuser and pretty flowery reeds while I was there. The house is a wonderfully scented production line.
Today the kitchen smelled of Oriental Spice candles which were being created on the workbench while we chatted. Our car has never smelled so good as when I set off again to Peebles.
I got home again at around 4.30, just in time for our Zoom evening prayer, very well timed. It takes ages to drive across town just now, the combination of spaces for people (joke) and road works, with the resultant road closures is dreadful. It was nice therefore to have a quiet time together once I got home.
This evening I popped down to Lidl and then had a quiet night in. Josie (and her mum) seem to have coped well with her jags this morning, hopefully she'll sleep well tonight too.
Keep safe and well folks.
