Almost Like Being There

Sunny and mild, a wonderful Autumn day. And we more or less wasted it. Hubby got three hours of sleep last night; I had three also, just at different times. Fitbit is great at tracking sleep patterns. Sooo, we were useless today. After breakfast, I packaged everything my sister and BIL are taking to WV for us. We want maximum comfy space in case our mother decides to go with us. We went to LOWES to buy one of my son’s gifts that their web sites located on aisle 29/30 F. Found out after an extensive search by two associates that they now only carry the product on line so they ordered it for us and charged shipping. Grrr. We went to Aldi’s to get the last few items for Chase’s stocking. I’ve mentioned before that he is studying German and is fascinated with their food. We hit pay dirt on their goodies shelves. He’s also asked us to start a savings account at Christmas so he can travel to Germany after graduation. We invited him to go with us this summer but we will not be revisiting our paternal ancestors’ home town of Buhne this trip so he will wait. It pleases me when my family is interested in their heritage. Wonder who will want to go to Scotland? I reviewed banking documents looking for a particular entry from earlier in the year, to no avail. And just like that it was time to eat leftovers from my daughter. Sure hope you had a pleasant day as well. Received little update from my children’s father: his BP is still too low so more adjustments made to new meds. We saw a report that they have diagnosed a human case of monkey pox in our state! Have to get more details on that for sure. Today would have been our youngest sister’s 61st birthday. We lost her at age 18. Time sure flies. Stay safe folks. Thanks for dropping by. “You don't stumble upon your heritage. It's there, just waiting to be explored and shared.” - Robbie Robertson
