Autumn colours

Sometimes the colours seem dramatic, sometimes intense, and always difficult to capture in a photo.

As I drove along the lanes to Baddesley Clinton, the trees that line the roads looked fabulous. The trees on the lakeside walk were equally lovely and, although it was quite a dull day, there was a feast of colour.

I rather like visiting a National Trust property in the winter time, seeing the hard work and thorough preparations for another rich year to come.
