Squashed

Found a little squash on sale at Simply Wine - a real bargain at 33 pence (the stripey yellow one). It meant that I could deploy the squash we'd grown on the compost heap, which had ripened successfully but wasn't that big.

Did a completely new (to me) recipe in their honour - sliced them in half, took out the seeds and baked 'em, then stuffed them with a sort of Stilton souffle.....mmm, it was really rather good. It's been ages since I whisked egg whites to 'stiff peaks'!
