Transy
On our way up to East End Park from Dunfermline station, I took this pic of the oddly named Transy Grove to remind me to look up its origin - but it turned out it was the only decent photo I got. Met up with some old chums in the bar, including Rohan who was across from Singapore for the first time since pre-pandemic. A very satisfactory match, 3-0 to the Pars, which amazingly took us from 10th (bottom) in the table to 6th.
Apparently this area of Dunfermline was known as 'Transylvania' from at least the 18th century - there are rumours that it was so dubbed after a group of Romanian linen-weavers settled there!
