Canterbury

Woke up with a rasping sore throat but after two Lateral Flow tests concluded it’s a cold and carried on with the day.  We met up with Henrietta here in Canterbury for a birthday lunch.  It is the old goods shed next to the station and has not only a food market but a lovely small restaurant.   Superb food, I had a game terrine followed by a chowder with halibut and we shared Lardy cake and marmelade ice-cream.   

Vik and I went on to the Pig for the birthday weekend treat but what with the cold, the big lunch and the lateness of our booking didn’t really do justice to dinner.
