It was cold today. Just around freezing most of the day. Brr! I went for a short walk during my break at work and snapped this photo a few houses down. Then I went back inside to get warm.

It's a short week because of the holiday. I like having the long weekend off at this job. At my last job, we got Thanksgiving off in recent years, but we had to work on multiple days of newspapers on Tuesday and Wednesday, and there was still a skeleton crew on the holiday. Then it was back to work Friday as normal. I get it; news doesn't sleep. But it is nice to not have to worry about it now.

My 39th birthday is on Thanksgiving. Jill has a trip planned for Friday, and she's not saying where we're going. I'm excited.
