Les Artes y les Ciences

Ate tostadas in the square by the Mercat Central before stocking up on picnic essentials and cycling to the beach via the Ciutat de les Artes y les Ciences. Later we re-aquainted ourselves with horchata and in the evening we went to see the new Almodovar , 'Madres Paralelas', at a rather funky cinema near the Plaza del Ayuntamiento called Cine Lys - lots of chrome, giant plaster Oscar statues and murals of classic film posters like Ben Hur and Casablanca...
