A day of two towers. First the Miguelete bell tower of the Cathedral (in time for the full glory of the eleven o'clock peel) and later the Torres de Quart, one of the remaining gates of the old city and a precipitous enough climb that I had to do the last bit on my own. In between we rested in the Plaza de la Virgen and watched a series of beautifully costumed groups dancing the jota, twirling gracefully and waltz-like, clicking castanets. As they dismantled the stage, we retrieved our bags and took our trains to Alicante (us) and Murcia (her) respectively. We'll meet up again later in the week...
