Now and then …….

Up early for our last breakfast at this hotel - decided on The Northern Breakfast - it was yummy. :)

Checked out smoothly, journey back to my friends house in Lincoln. Good journey, back by midday. :)

Quick turnaround, grabbed a coffee and said my goodbyes before hitting the road for a 3.5 hour journey. Traffic good, stopped off for petrol on the A46 and also stopped off at the drive through at the services at M40. Home around 3:30 pm. :)

Dogs (and hubby) pleased to see me. Email and text received from BT to confirm that AJ’s phone line has been completed. Called the number, but no answer message. Called the care home, but not clear that the phone is in place - advised will visit in the morning before taking clothes etc to AJ. AJ is medically fit but needs to build on her confidence so waiting to be transferred to a rehab ward/hospital. The downside of this is that she will be in hospital for her 90th birthday - we have cancelled her party, but looking to celebrate in the New Year (having paid for the room hire and food, they I’ll transfer this to another date, thankfully). :)
