Autumn Leaves

Today's the day ........................ to rant

A carpet of fallen leaves under the magnolia, which in time won't have any left at all.  This is what happens in the autumn.  It's all right and proper and all part of the changing of the seasons.

We have been told to expect extreme weather this weekend - blizzards, snow, gale-force winds and plummeting temperatures.  How much of this is true and how much is press and social media hype, it is unclear?  But just in case it does turn out to be the worst case senario, most things that were supposed to happen round here at the weekend, have all been cancelled today.

Is it just me (because I AM feeling very fed up about it!) or are we turning into a nation of panickers who are so easily influenced and worried about everything that we get told, that we forget to live life, whatever it may throw at us?
