It's ready

The red button is up. After cooking in the oven for hours, our 11-pound (4.5 kg) turkey is ready. It was smaller than last year's, so it fit in the oven without any wrangling. The food was good.

It's also my 39th birthday. Jill got me the surprise she told me about: tickets to "Hamilton" in Philadelphia! Exciting! We've never seen it (just the version on Disney Plus), and I've never been to Philly. We might visit a nearby amusement park after the show.

What an amazing birthday gift. She went above and beyond. It'll be hard for me to top or even match.

Now to live the last year of my 30s. I want to try to make it count.
