A quiet day. A walk in the cemetery, admiring the trees. Then a touching final of the Great British Baking Show.

My digital calendar tells me today is "Native American Heritage Day." Nobody seems to know anything about it, but Sue and I ordered seven books about Navajo and Ojibwe history and culture. One is called Holding Our World Together; it's about Ojibwe women and the survival of community. We'd like to learn how Native women hold their world together. It seems the most important thing any of us can do right now. 

The bad news is the Omicron variant.
