First snow of the winter

After a windy night we woke up to snow.
I didn’t expect so much, and it hasn’t all melted. 2 C max. temperature.
Went out to get our Saturday Yorkshire Post, and that wind was bitter.
I filled the bird feeders and that is it. Not going out again.

A bit of a relaxing afternoon, except for cleaning out a kitchen cupboard. Found 3 bottles which were well out of their best before date.
Do other people sometimes buy things for a certain recipe and then never use them again?

It is comfort food for our meal tonight. Shin beef in ale, with cabbage and lots of fluffy mashed potato.
Followed by steamed treacle sponge pud. with
custard.

Hope you are all safe and warm. I think we have got off lightly as it has been bad in other places.
