Today's the day ........................ to keep your spirits up
For the second year in a row the Drambusters Whisky Festival in Dumfries became a victim of the Covid pandemic.
However, undaunted by this, Will and son Rob planned their own little event and tonight was the night when it all happened. Most of it took place outside in the courtyard which Will had suitably arranged and decked out for the occasion. There was a log fire and plenty of blankets to keep the outer man/woman warm, while the vast selection of whiskies available, did the same job from the inside. There was sausage hotpot, rhubarb crumble and custard, and other culinary delights to keep the spirits up.
And despite the temperatures plummeting to minus degrees, the hardy gang of invited guests was full of good cheer. Indeed, a very enjoyable evening was had by all .......................!
