After Work

Another day at the cafe.   Two passenger trains plus another training day for  assistant guards, a chilly day for being out in and around an unheated train.   Hot drinks, pasties and soup should have warmed them.   I was glad to have help today, although we weren't very busy.   As the evenings draw in, by 430 when I left it was very quickly falling dark up here where the hills tower above.   This was the very last of the light as I walked down the station drive to my car.

Katie stayed for tea with me after minding Meg this afternoon.   Ruth's at Jamie's with their mum who is visiting this weekend.   Very tired after a series of very late nights due to circumstances beyond my control.   No more cafe work for a couple of weeks so I'm going to catch up on sleep one way or another.
