Fresh-baked home-made croissants!

The day got off to a great start with delicious, fresh from the oven, home made croissants, courtesy of our son-in-law Jason! He is a great cook and baker, and quite adventurous in things he tries. Work on these began Wednesday evening, and continued at brief intervals throughout the day yesterday! I have included a photo of him at work in extras. Having spent a total of 13 1/2 years living in France, we appreciate a good genuine croissant, and these came close to the real thing, in fact, being straight from the oven, perhaps even better!
It was a cold, but sunny day, and after breakfast we headed out to do some hiking at Twin Creeks Metropark just north of Dayton. This has been new to us in the last couple of years, and we had taken Laura before, but Jen and Jason hadn’t been before. We had a great hike - about 7 miles - see collage in extras - including Jason with his Cheshire Cat grin!
