Kenilworth Castle
I love a good castle.
I have so many wonderful memories of this place as a child that I have been meaning to go back for a long time.
I am not sure I will go again which is a shame.
It cost us £27 to get in!!!!!!! I think thats an utter disgrace. It's a ruin. A spectacular ruin but a ruin nonetheless.
We enjoyed running up the hills (well everyone else did, I was pushing the stroller). The views are lovely and the place still has that atmosphere that calls to my inner soul.
It was very very very cold. I am still wearing four layers!!!!
The cafe was pants but the refurbished gatehouse and garden was nice.
I took some nice pictures, I reminisced and I shall leave it there in Kenilworth and as nice memories. .
In other news #blackapril has begun. I detest this government. A bunch of unelected evil men and women who are privatising the NHS by the back door, wrecking the education system and penalising the poorest and most vulnerable in society. The shower of poop in opposition ain't much better. I find myself in despair at it all. Then I had to see photos of burnt Orang-utans on my Facebook feed and just now a sex act on an animal!!! I despair even more and am going to be a bit more stringent on accepting new friends and what I see of their activity in my news feed. To be fair the animal porn was a link she had commented on to be removed but I was a bit shocked to say the least to see it!
Anyhow a lovely day and two weeks of no school runs!! Woo hoo!
