Falling Water

I ran a brief errand on the way home today and as I was driving home, I saw this gorgeous heron perched on the block in the middle of this running water. I stopped the car and turned around to photograph him. When I parked, he took one look at me and flew off. Darn! He settled on the other side of the pond as to taunt me.

I decided to take the opportunity to shoot the falling water with a slow shutter speed. I love the dreaminess of moving water. There also happened to be a stone post at just the right height which served as a makeshift tripod.

No photoshopping here just basic contrast and saturation
