Rakish robin

Jess nearly tripped over this little robin on our walk this morning.  The robin wasn't at all perturbed, and followed us along the line of the hedge  for a while, being careful to fly along a bit every time I got my phone out.

My sister gave me a picture 'robins appear when loved ones are near' after Mum died (4 years ago today), and I'm choosing to interpret this surprisingly close encounter as Mum saying hello.

A beautiful and very cold day - the heating in our office needs to step up a pace as it never got properly warm all day.
