Darkness into Light

I took these pictures after the Advent service in the village church yesterday evening. I had already posted so have carried it over to today. The congregation were all given candles to light and candles were lit all around the church as the service progressed. The 12th century church was ablaze with light by the end. The service was punctuated by the playing of bursts of O Come, O Come Emmanuel by the Chobham Handbell Ringers, a long established group that has played throughout the country and overseas and in the film, The Madness of King George.
