Not a Palm
This is another photo taken in a neighbour's garden. They all seem to be very tolerant of an old chap with a camera wandering around their front yards.
This is Cycas revoluta, commonly called Sago Palm. It's not really a palm, but has palm-like leaves. It belongs to an ancient plant family called cycads. Which date back nearly 300 million years, making them even older than the dinosaurs.
It's been a grey and rainy day here today. We've had more than 30mm of rain in the last 9 hours. With more predicted.
