El Cid

We are in Burgos, apparently the birthplace of El Cid was a village close to here and he is buried at the cathedral on town. This flag was in the campsite restaurant when we had lunch today (€11 with bottle of wine included. Excellent value and we both had a plateful of Paella for Primos). I assume that it references El Cid but I could be wrong.

We are some distance from the town centre but there is a riverside walk and cycle route running through a linear park. We hope to explore tomorrow.
