HERON HEAD

The light today has been very dreary but the snow has gone leaving a whole lot of very soggy leaves and debris from the recent winds. I walked up to the Park which was remarkably quiet and peaceful both in respect of humans and birdlife. Most of the ducks were asleep, the geese were quietly grazing on the grass and I spotted this heron absolutely motionless at the edge of the lake.
