Expedition To Loch Muick

A landscape shot is today’s Blipfoto. Just almost visible is Lochnagar which is quite a famous mountain.

The Duke of Rothesay wrote a slim childrens book title "The Old Man Of Lochnagar". We drove up the Glen from Ballater. Challenging as we were heading into the setting sun at 3:00 p.m. 

The drive up was low gear work. I think I managed to select 3rd once. On the way down; 6th gear! 

The temperature was 5C and the road was completely free of ice and snow. Mildly surprised to find that the distance from Ballater to Loch Muick is 8 miles.

It always seemed much less in the Good Old Days.
