Morning light
There was something numinous about the light this morning, a sort of light in between two extreme of weather which reminded of Advent and all the contradictions that brings, or used to do when such things seemed significant.
By the time son #2 and family + dog arrived from Aberdeen the sun was replaced by heavy, very cold, rain. They all looked in good form and the visit to R was less problematic than I had imagined. They left for Campbeltown together with Matt’s friend P, who, following up on our last conversation in February 2020 asked me how I was getting on with Python, impressive. Less impressively I failed to convincingly maintain the conversation hook/lie. He is such a gracious young chap and a very talented software engineer.
