On Heale House Bridge

Netton is a small hamlet to the north of Salisbury. This photo was taken from the bridge over the river Avon that is the back entrance to Heale House.

Heale House was built late sixteenth century and used by Charles II as a hiding place in 1651 as he fled to France. The House is not open to the public but the gardens, famous for their snowdrop and aconite displays, are open Wednesday to Sundays and Bank Holidays from beginning of February to end of October.
