Tuesday: Storm “Barra”

Today’s Blip is just a screen grab of my ship tracking app showing all the ships sheltering on our side of the island, their lights were the last thing I saw last night and the first this morning …
Cleared my stack of books which I’ve read, need to find a “selling opportunity” to take the place of the Table Top Sale, in the New Year!
Made a kilo of crumble topping, using slightly out of date flour, butter and ground almonds - usually have this in the freezer for sprinkling onto frozen fruit picked from the garden and hedgerows to make a nice quick pudding when there’s space in the oven :-))
Soaked about a kilo of dried fruit in brandy, preparations for the Christmas cakes!
Picked some garden salad to go with our baked potatoes for dinner this evening along with hard boiled eggs, tuna mayo, grated cheese …
Quick phone chat with Eileen this afternoon, tomorrow’s Chinese lunch cancelled due to storm.
The storm has really picked up since nightfall, howling wind and driving rain - weather station in Valley recorded gusts of 76mph, down the coast in Aberdaron 86mph …
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
