My lunchtime jaunt took me to Basilton House and Park.  After a warming soup (in a freezing cafe!), I took a walk round the house with it's "evergreen" Christmas themed decorations, before taking an extended stroll round the wider estate.

This is a view from one of the wings round to the parterre with it's wonderfully structural trees in their winter glory. All we need now is some snow.
