Whitecross Street Market...
... bustling with people in weak sunshine today. Long queues for delicious smelling food from around the world. I expect it will be much quieter next week when most of these people will be working from home, so sad for the traders and cafes.
It's just round the corner from Bunhill Fields (extras) which was looking lovely after a tidy up by a large team of volunteers. I wondered if they had thrown some birdseed down for the pigeons, I've never seen so many searching through the leaves.
Bunhill (probably a corruption of Bone Hill) Fields was a non-denominational cemetery from 1665 to 1854, and is now a community garden in the City. The most famous monuments are to Daniel Defoe, John Bunyan and William Blake.
