Abstract Thursday: Lines

This afternoon we went to Chopwell Woods (near Gateshead), as it's a longstanding family tradition to go there each December to get our Christmas tree (and we always tag on a walk). There were lots of trees to choose from so we're very pleased with the one we got..

The woods were handy for my blip, as Ingeborg's chosen AT theme this week is "lines" - and the woods gave me an opportunity to grab this abstract with bare tree branches producing lines going in all directions.

It was evident that a large number of very tall trees had been felled recently by Storm Arwen - a few are shown in the extra. In several places trees had fallen across the walking tracks, but the Forestry Commission workers had already cleared most of those away.
