First of a few

It’s a big birthday coming up for me just after Christmas. I’ve got a few celebrations planned and todays was the first. Sian, Colin and I had the festive afternoon tea at Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair. We’ve known each other 33 years and met when we worked in a rather obscure part of the FCO.
My blip was the little birthday cake I was presented with by our waiter Karol, whilst the whole room sang Happy Birthday…. I was a tad embarrassed. The extra is close up of some of the cakes we tried. What with those, the scones and the finger sandwiches we left feeling very well fed.
