Picnic in the park...

...but maybe not today. Sunshine, but a keen icy wind!

While MrM continued with work in our bedroom putting in some insulation, then starting to lay the boards, I walked down to the flooring shop to return the sample book. The carpet is on order. It now seems highly unlikely that the bedroom will ready before Christmas as MrM had first anticipated, so it was arranged that the carpet will be laid at the beginning of January. This means rethinking accommodation for our Christmas guests. If Christmas happens this year, that is. Trying to be positive, but I'm beginning to wonder...

On the way back, posted the cards and called in to the Good Life Shop for some bread - olive and herb sourdough. Lovely!

While I was writing more cards the lights flickered off and on several times, but they seem fine now thank goodness. But, apparently, the power has gone off again in some parts of the town - hoping that it's restored soon.
