Shadows on the Sand

It has been a rare day of sunshine with quite a few people venturing out along the seafront at Ryde in conditions that can only be described as bracing. The bitterly cold East wind which seems to have been with us for weeks shows no sign of abating.

Normally at Easter families would be enjoying playing on the beach but today there were just a few hardy dog walkers braving the blowing sand. The afternoon sun was casting some intriguing patterns in the sand giving me todays blip picture.

The visibility across the Solent was particularly clear and the white Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth can be seen at the top of the shot.
