God's Providence House-3
I promise that this will be the last blip featuring one of Newport's oldest buildings, God's Providence House.
Todays picture shows the front of the house ( now a tea rooms) which faces St Thomas's Square and the large parish church. The fine bow windows and central door are believed to be original early 18th century. The window tables are the ideal place to enjoy tea or coffe and watch the world go by outside in the square.
After yesterdays blue sky the thick cloud has rolled back in with an even colder easterly wind. Just how long is this going to go on?
